Congratulations to Skin Deep from Electric Pictures and Doclab on its nominations for the UN Association of Australia Media Peace Award in the Best Documentary category. The Awards ceremony will take place in Melbourne on Friday, 21 October.
Established in 1979, The United Nations Association of Australia (UNAA) Media Peace Awards recognise those in the media whose work highlights and champions human rights, humanitarian and social justice issues.
Shot in Italy, Kenya, Spain, Sweden, Scotland, United States, Brazil and Australia, Skin Deep follows the story of Nina Jablonski, Professor of Anthropology at Penn State University and her scientific journey into human skin colour. The film documents the revelations which led her to investigate the relationship between skin colour, UV and reproduction.
Skin Deep aired on SBS in January this year and is directed by Franco Di Chiera, scored by Stefano Lentini and produced by Andrew Ogilvie, Andrea Quesnelle and Marco Visalberghi for Electric Pictures.

SEASON2 COMING SOON ON CURRENT TV SKY 183. VIRGIN 155
With one in four Brits unable to remember how they get home after a night out, it seems we’re suffering from a national blackout. In What Did I Do Last Night? Current TV shines a very bright light on the drinking habits of seemingly ‘normal’ drinkers.
Presented by Jeff Leach, the programme sets out to help young professionals piece together the forgotten hours of their night out and confront some uncomfortable home truths about their drunken alter-egos.
